Mini-curriculum

bachelor's at Medicina Veterinária from Universidade Federal do Paraná (1986), master's at Genética e Melhoramento de Plantas from Universidade de São Paulo (1991), doctorate at Genética e melhoramento de plantas from Universidade de São Paulo (1997) and visiting researcher at ARS-USDA.She has been a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation since 1994, and a permanent professor in the Graduate Program in Evolutionary Genetics and Molecular Biology at the Federal University of São Carlos since 1998. Is a member of the standing comitees for Animal Epigenetics and for Microbiome of the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG). She has experience in the area of Animal Genetics, with an emphasis on Genomics, working mainly in the mapping of genes for traits of economic interest in cattle raised under tropical conditions. She is currently developing research on the microbiota-host interaction and its implications in genetics and animal breeding.
