Roberto Giolo de Almeida, holds a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from the University of Taubaté (1990); specialist in drainage and Hydrographic basins Management at the University of Taubaté in cooperation with ILRI-Netherlands and GTZ-Germany (1991); master's degree (1997) and Ph.D.?s degree (2001) in animal Science (forage production and pastures), at the Federal University of Viçosa. From 2001 to 2007 was professor at the University of Mato Grosso State; since 2007 is a researcher at Embrapa Beef Cattle, specialized in grazing management, recovery of degraded pastures, integrated crop-livestock-forest systems and greenhouse gases in animal husbandry, with emphasis on the leadership of the Brazilian Low Carbon Livestock Platform. He is currently assigned to Embrapa Southeast Livestock.
